ready for redemption. By the end of the two periods, the team had beaten Marana- tha 30 to 20, after securing the lead in the first quarter. Eight-year coach Dan Smith described their play as “fantastic!” and the team succeeded in getting the revenge they desired.


“ [Maranatha] played a lot better than the last time we played them,” said Smith, “[but what won us the game] was our hustle and energy.”

Throughout the season, junior high bas- ketball works to turn great kids, into great basketball players, and the win against Maranatha did much to strengthen the team’s camaraderie.
