Expecting The Unexpected
Thousands of families lost much of their assets in the hur-
ricane disasters of 2005. Many had insurance coverage, yet
received no compensation for their losses. Underinsurance
coupled with lack of coverage for specific hazards probably
created hundreds of millions of dollars of lost wealth for
the victims on the coast.
Why is access to your assets and liquidity in crisis so im-
portant? If those homeowners had protected and removed
their equity, had not made big down payments, had not
paid off their homes…and, instead, had liberated their
wealth, harvested it as it grew and placed it safely into
a compounding accessible side account, their destinies
would have been changed forever.
Picture for a moment that you are a resident of the Gulf
Coast and you have just survived that horrific storm. It’s
the morning after the storm and the day is now dawning.
Think about how you feel as you gaze into that sunrise,
knowing you have options. Long before the storm hit, you
had scooped up your largest asset and protected it. Your
money is now safely sheltered away and waiting for you.
You can do whatever is best for yourself and your family.
While others are up against the wall, forced into situations
because of limited choices, you are completely free to do
as you see fit. You have time, you have choices, you have
freedom and, most importantly – you have power. There’s
no better feeling than knowing you are in total control of
your life and your destiny.
