for some people watching. There’s only one
place to do this in style – Ladurée. This
bakery and patisserie started serving its
delicate treats back in 1871, and today it is
so famed for its quality that queues form
out of the door both day and night.
Ladurée is just a few hundred yards from
the Arc de Triomphe, and from there to the
Place de la Concorde is Paris’s most famous
street – the Champs Élysées. While the
tree-lined bottom section is surrounded by
lawns and gardens, the westerly end is
flanked by a myriad of shops and
restaurants. This is a vibrant place to stroll,
both of an evening and during the day.
To round off our little Parisian tryst we
headed to Sacré Coeur de Montmartre.
