With an inspiring
collection of castles,
palaces, stately homes and gardens,
the National Trust for Scotland can
accommodate any size or style of wedding.
Haddo House is one of the Trust’s most welcoming stately
homes. Weddings for up to 100 guests can be held in the non-
denominational chapel adjacent to the main house. The elegant
Drum Castle library, with its cedar and ebony bookcases, is perfect for civil
ceremonies and partnerships for up to 120 guests. For larger
weddings, the grand Canadian Hall can accommodate a dinner
for 160 guests and dances and ceilidhs for over 250.
Drum Castle is simply unique for a smaller and more
personal wedding. Amid an ancient oak forest on the edge of
Royal Deeside, Drum combines medieval history, Jacobean
romance and Victorian opulence to striking effect. The beautiful
chapel nestled in the castle grounds seats 45 guests. The
impressive library can host civil wedding ceremonies for up to
70. Guests can sip champagne as they stroll in the delightful
walled rose garden, whilst you have photographs taken that you
Drum Castle
will treasure for a lifetime.
Mar Lodge Estate is the ultimate location to experience the
natural splendour of Scotland. Designed in the Victorian country
house style, the lodge is surrounded by 29,000 hectares of
majestic Cairngorms National Park. There are five comfortable
Adam revival-style apartments which can house up to 29 guests
and further accommodation for another 31 guests within the
grounds of the estate.
