Mullers in the Mix Beyond Metalcasting

Mullers such as these can be used in many non-metalcasting applications. Mullers are a valuable part of the

metalcasting industry since they are highly effective in preparing molding sand.

Metalcasting, however, is not the only industry where the muller-type mixer is commonly used.

Muller-type mixers are generally classified as a medium-speed, high-intensity mixer that can be used for all kinds of wetted solid mixing ap- plications in many chemical processing indus- tries. Tat includes uses such as lead acid bat- tery paste for automotive and lithium batteries, architectural stone, and briquetting materials

such as barbecue charcoal. Mullers also are used with ceramics, chocolate, explosives, ferrites, lead pencil graphites, pharmaceuticals, resins and welding rod fluxes, just to name a few.

So, in short, mullers are in the mix of a lot of industries.
