ABC 123 Just For Me!® , the handwriting readiness level


of Zaner-Bloser Handwriting, takes a fun, playful approach to introducing young students to handwriting instruction. The program builds the readiness skills students need for handwriting in kindergarten and beyond: letter recognition, print awareness, phonemic awareness, gross-motor skills, fine-motor skills, spatial awareness, and handwriting skills.

Activity Book contains a variety of age-appropriate prewriting, alphabet, and numeral activities specifically designed to develop fine-motor skills, handwriting skills, and phonemic awareness.


Teacher Guide provides instruction and tips for directing whole- and small-group instruction and guided independent practice of handwriting readiness skills. Includes Group Time and Center Time activities and two CDs: One provides Sing-Along Songs, which utilize rhythm, rhyme, and repetition to engage children in the learning process, and the second has audio recordings of letter and numeral stories.


Handwriting Readiness


School Home Booklets provides blackline masters for 62 handwriting practice booklets. Each booklet focuses on one letter or numeral at a time and includes a variety of activities to be completed at home with the support of students’ families.
