Streamlined for Educaton

We recommend Windows devices

The Windows 10 S operating system has been designed specifically with education in mind. It’s been built to work with a range of other Microsoft programmes and if you’re already operating on a compatible device, schools are able to switch to 10 S for free!1

So why would you choose Windows 10 S ? It’s secure It’s quick to deploy

As this is a heavily app-based operating system, the devices have minimal hardware and can start-up very quickly. However just because it’s more likely to come in a lightweight chassis does not mean you lose out on functionality. You still have a range of learning tools at your disposal.

With a more streamlined out-of-the-box setup, you can configure your classroom faster than ever before, and devices work in line with the Set Up School PCs app.

In Windows 10 S you’re only able to download apps that are available on the official Windows Store. This means you’re protected from downloading potential harmful content that could contain viruses or malware. It also means that your machine should run as smoothly all year long, as it did on day one.

Data protecton Your new browsing experience

In 10 S you browse with Microsoft Edge, one of the fastest internet browsers available, ahead of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.2

Your data is well protected in Windows 10 S, thanks to the security feature BitLocker. It protects your data with additional password entry in order to gain access to your files. BitLocker also ensures that data from your device can’t be stolen once you have decommissioned or recycled it.
