Barefoot

The Barefoot Computing Project offers free, fun computing teaching resources for primary teachers. School workshops show teachers where to download them and how they work across the curriculum; giving teachers more confidence to prepare children to thrive in a digital world. BT currently has over 1000 employees signed up to this programme, delivering workshops to teachers.

75% of teachers strongly agree it’s their job to prepare kids for a digital world, but only 25% strongly agree that they can.2

BT STEM Crew

Our BT STEM Crew programme teaches 11-16 year olds about the real-world application of science, technology engineering and maths. This is a joint initiative between BT and Ben Ainsley’s charity, the 1851 Trust. Teachers and students can bring STEM subjects to life with free worksheets, quizzes and films. We want to show more young people how versatile and exciting these subjects can be.

Tablet Academy

We also work with organisations like the Tablet Academy to offer unique sessions to teachers and students. The Tablet Academy is a device agnostic organisation that support schools and colleges to help get the most out of the devices you integrate into your learning environment. Through a range of tasks, students get hands on experience of the different subjects and learning outcomes that the devices can be used across.

They offer Professional Development, pupil engagement days and festivals that are hosted in schools, and invite partner schools along. We find their sessions to be a great way of getting students more interested in tech with engaging content, and making learning more fun.
