cover artist T
Owls by Carol Terry
he late wildlife artist Carol Terry was not only a lover of Nature, she was a force of Nature! Her prolific body of work in every medium, was only surpassed by her prolific life. Carol’s
5’4” 110-pound frame bore nine children (a tenth child was adopted when the youngest was two). She enjoyed over forty grand- and great-grandchildren. From a very early age, Carol studied the
world around her with an adept skill that inspired her many prodigy, art students and friends alike. Carol’s impact reached far beyond her artistry as her outspoken enthusiasm for political debate and her never-ending loyalty to her hometown “Cubbies” paid off with their 2016 World Series win shortly before her death in 2017. Known to many as “Max” (short for her given first name, Maxine), Carol Terry’s giſt of capturing Life’s beauty will be her long-lasting legacy.
