Folkworks Summer Schools run from 10th – 15th August In Durham – aimed at adults, youth and juniors. For over 18s, the course runs at St John's College, Durham, directed by Ian Lowthian (accordion) and Bella Hardy (song); Roger Wilson (fretted strings); Nancy Kerr (fiddle); Gina Le Faux (fiddle); Hannah James (accordion); Karine Polwart (folkwords); Jo Freya (mixed instrument); Rob Harbron (concertina); Annmarie Gram (flute and whistle); Saul Rose (melodeon). For ages 14 – 23 years old, the course takes place at St. Chads College, Durham directed by Ian Stephenson and Sam Pirt (accordion), with Eliza Carthy (song); Sam Sweeney (fiddle); Kev Lees (fiddle); Bryony Griffith (fiddle); Saul Rose (melodeon); Sam Partridge (flute and whistle); Rob Harbron (concertina); Simon Thoumire (mixed instruments); Andrew Cadie (guitar). For 9 – 13- year-olds, the course runs from 12th – 15th Aug at St Aidans College, with Miranda Rutter (fiddle, viola); Dave Wood (guitar); Ruth Ball (fiddle); Sarah Hayes (flute, whistle, voice, piano); Jim Molyneux (percussion, accordion, and voice). The Folkworks Durham Gathering sees the culmination of
