Northern folk experimentalists Harp And A Monkey have put together a run of bespoke First World War ‘forgotten hero’ shows in the surviving landscape of the conflict here on home shores, at: Westfield War Memorial Village in Lancashire (at which they will perform to war veterans in a community built in 1919 for disabled and necessitous ex- servicemen) (22nd Aug); West Pennine Moor above Holcombe, Greater Manchester, (to perform a free public show in a bomb crater created by a Zeppelin attack in 1916) (23rd); HM Walton Prison, Liverpool, (which housed conscientious objectors in WW1) (24th).
