Firm foundation for physical and mental health

Blues Foundation has announced details for eight summer activity camps across the school holiday break at various locations across central Bedfordshire. Following the success of similar provision during the Easter

holidays, where over 80 young people received specialist sports coaching in a safe and secure manner across various locations in the county, Blues Foundation are back with more multi-sport coaching throughout August. Once again providing vital support for children and families, this

activation will again target the improvement of physical and mental health through a variety of multi-sports, games and activities. For access onto the course, a child must qualify for pupil premium

or free school meals. For this particular activation, a partnership has been set up with Taylors Kitchen, who will provide a bespoke healthy lunch option for every child to keep them fuelled for each day of activity. It is well documented how exercise and physical activity can have

such a positive impact on those involved. T rough the social media hashtag #SportForChange, the Foundation is determined to continue having a positive impact on people’s lives within the community, and this is the latest in a number of projects that enables Blues Foundation to reach more people across Bedfordshire and have a direct impact on their lives.
