Two years, 1 tonne of rubble, 2000 plants and an investment of £350,000 has seen site on Church Street transformed into a beautiful enclosed setting with yew trees ,Tudor roses, a water feature, oak wood framed gazebo and modern “pods” ideal for drinks or eating. The plot was once a palace owned by Henry 1 named Kingsbury (gift from a king) it became a farm and more recently the Norman King Inn. Now it is a beautiful addition to The Old Palace Lodge 85-bedroomed hotel and Henry’s restaurant which is ideal for casual lunches, dinners, or private parties and wedding receptions for up to 115.
