The Dynamic Marine Component (DMaC) test facility is a unique test rig, able to replicate the forces and motions experienced by components in offshore applications. It is capable of exerting tensile/compressive forces of up to 430kN (dynamic range of +/- 220kN). The moving headstock can apply bending moments / angles of up to 10kNm with +/-30 degrees. Tests can be operated under force or displacement control and samples can be submerged in freshwater. This highly versatile test facility comes with a wealth of technical expertise and an excellent track- record to test critical components, such as moorings and submarine power cables.
