A
vailable in three deck sizes – offer- ing capacities from 30 to 72 microplates – Fluent features a
modular Dynamic Deck™ with a multi- level design that allows flexible integration of complementary devices. Up to three task-specific arms can operate simultane- ously, using patented Path Finder™ tech- nology, to automatically find the fastest, most efficient route for every arm move- ment. This avoids the need for laborious manual programming while ensuring time- ly completion of assays. High definition pipetting using prede-
fined liquid classes ensures optimal accura- cy and reproducibility. The system’s Flexible Channel Arm™ (FCA) provides flexibility to suit the needs of your labora- tory workflow, with a choice of air- and liquid-displacement pipetting technolo- gies. Advanced liquid level sensing using Adaptive Signal Technology™, allows smaller sample volumes and minimises the risk of errors, as well as providing auto- mated error handling. Productivity can be further increased by adding a second FCA to the platform, offering 16 separate pipet-
ting channels and the option to combine both pipetting technologies on a single sys- tem. Alternatively, a Multiple Channel Arm (MCA) can be used alongside a single FCA to provide simultaneous, parallel pipetting for entire 96- or 384-well plates – as well as offering compatibility with 1,536-well formats – enhancing through- put and productivity. The system’s Robotic Gripper Arm™
(RGA) enables rapid, smooth movement of labware around the worktable and to inte- grated devices without interrupting pipet- ting activities. Its unique Finger Exchange System ensures optimal handling for both tubes and plates by automatically switch- ing between gripper options – including Centric Fingers, Eccentric Fingers and Tube Fingers – on the fly. Fluent is exceptionally easy to use, with
a built-in touchscreen interface that guides users through daily tasks, ensuring straightforward and consistent operation. The platform’s intuitive FluentControl™ software simplifies setting up applications, offering ‘drag and drop’ interfaces, 3D graphics, Smart Commands for common tasks and seamless management of inte- grated devices. Integrated user manage- ment tools, including method permissions, enhance process security by optimising protocol selection for each user. This is complemented by workflow-oriented fea- tures such as Active Stop and Resume – allowing the operator to instantly access the workdeck during a run simply by open- ing the door – and Method Recovery, which can automatically restore protocols interrupted by a power loss or computer failure. Application-specific Fluent automation
