New sales manager at the helm of Volvo Cars Cardiff

Volvo Cars Cardiff has appointed sales manager Matt Morris who is now heading up the sales team as the brand prepares for the arrival of the new V60 this summer. For Matt, who joined the automotive retail sector on leaving school ten years ago as a service advisor, the new role is the first time he has worked for the Volvo brand. Joining at an exciting time, Matt will oversee first deliveries later this year of the new V60, Volvo’s five-door, mid-size premium estate. Already, the newly launched premium compact SUV, the XC40, has been named European Car of the Year and What Car? Car of the Year and is proving hugely popular with car buyers. Having undertaken the sales manager role for another franchised manufacturer as well as undertaking positions in the service department, Matt had the right experience when the job became available at Volvo Cars Cardiff, located in Penarth Road. Commented Matt: “Te growing strengths of the Volvo brand including numerous award wins for recent vehicle launches, its on-going

reputation for developing innovative safety features

and exciting times ahead as the

manufacturer moves to all-hybrid/electric future and autonomous driving, makes the brand an excellent place for career progression. “I have the advantage of having a fantastic team in place whose

individual members

have developed exceptional relationships with customers and established the business in the city. My focus is now on building on such an excellent foundation to take the business to the next level. It promises to be an exciting journey and I am delighted to have been given this opportunity.” Added retailer principal Roger Pugsley: “We are delighted to welcome Matt to the business. It is unusual to have that combination of sales and service experience on the showroom floor and we think, along with his other qualities, Matt will take the business to new heights.” For more information visit Volvo Cars Cardiff at 281 Penarth Road, Cardiff, and online at https://www.volvocars.com/uk/find-a-dealer/ retailers/cardiff
