EDITOR’S LETTER

“ As we come to terms with more changes in the workplace and the need for flexibility, inclusion and diversity, is even more important.”

ike many people I was pleased to welcome in the New Year on 1 January, after the tumultuous events of 2020 and the devasting impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on lives, health,

wellbeing and economies. Out of adversity, have come advances in science and

technology that have been truly amazing, demonstrating the power of the human spirit to find solutions, share knowledge and drive international collaboration to produce vaccines at a speed which previously couldn’t have been imagined. As vaccinations are rolled out around the world bringing

hope of economic recovery, businesses and their leadership and management teams are reflecting on the learnings from last year and planning for the future. At Think Global People we are here to support your endeavours

and share innovations and knowledge across industry sectors that will help you to grow your business and connect with the international management and global mobility community. The Think Global People and Relocate Awards are now

open for entries until 21 March. Entering the Awards is the perfect way for you to reflect on your achievements, showcase your successes and motivate and thank your team for their commitment to overcome challenges. Catch the 2020 Virtual Awards Ceremony on YouTube, with over 11,000 views to capture the spirit of our community. As we come to terms with more changes in the workplace

and the need for flexibility, inclusion and diversity, is even more important. Join us at our virtual Think Women event on 5 March for a lively, interactive workshop with great speakers, and help make a difference. In this issue you can read about the UK’s trade opportunities

in the Asia-Pacific region and why Paris is welcoming international families. There is advice on managing virtual teams and plenty of policy support to help you respond to changing priorities. Keep informed on parents’ needs with our Great International Education and Schools’ Fair coverage.
