“It is time to wake up to the Asia Century”
A visit to Ho Chi Minh City for the EuRA Asia conference highlighted the rapid change that is happening in Asia and Vietnam in particular. An intense blast of the sights, sound, aromas and the juxtaposition of old and new unlocked the reality of change across Asia.
For many companies and leaders in the UK, Europe and the West, it is time to wake up to the Asia Century and the pace of change, drive and energy in many countries across the region – and face the opportunities and challenges.
During my trip, I moderated a session on how industry sectors in specific countries are evolving and their changing mobility requirements. Together we examined the pain points along the relocation supply chain, where service providers added value and how they might continue to do so as industry sectors respond to AI, technological advances and sustainability.
Building on such experiences, across Relocate media in 2020 we will be looking at the implications of mobility through a wider international management lens. See our new content and thought-leadership model for the next decade to help you make sense of global management decision-making.
In this issue, we pull together international leadership priorities gleaned from the CBI, CIPD, WERC, EuRA and other autumn conferences. The Relocate Awards have been refreshed and repurposed for 2020, and we introduce some new Think Global People awards.
The Festival of Global People will be held on 12 May 2020 at the Tower of London where we will welcome an international audience and celebrate and network with our award winners in the evening.
