CREATIVITY Creative energy IN P ARIS

In November the Relocate Global team attended the 12 Heures de L’International in Paris. This French speaking conference brought together HR and global mobility professionals, reward and benefits specialists, managers of international projects and a host of suppliers and consultants. Fiona Murchie describes how Relocate Global used art and conversation to capture the mood of international businesses.

I

t was the perfect opportunity for artist Peter Moolan Feroze to engage with delegates and exhibitors to tease out

what were the biggest challenges they were facing and how it felt to be managing teams and doing business in such turbulent times. Although many were preparing their

organisations for growth and looking for solutions to support global mobility and talent management, inevitability the conversation turned to Brexit. Stimulated by questions from Relocates

ambassadors, Peter Moolan Feroze and coach and people professional Morag Paterson, around how these business people felt about work challenges and life, participants illustrated and drew their responses, thoughts and emotions. You can also watch three videos which

capture the thoughts released by the simple creative process of making a picture, or visual note of their reaction to change in their world and the impact on them as people. This picture by artist Peter Moolan

summarises the artwork and individual stories providing a

snapshot of the

international business world who connected at many different levels over two days. Peter who has been working with

organisations large and small including the London Business School and Royal Academy of Arts and outreach programmes for many years, will be acting as our roving artist at a range of interviews and events, as we interact with our readership in different places. This journey will lead up to Relocate’s Festival

of Global people on 14 and 15 May, where delegates will have the opportunity to unlock their creativity to help with solutions to their burning issues, increase engagement and stimulate innovation. He will also showcase some of the stories,

drawings, and art reflecting the people behind global organisations, their work and the changing workplace over recent months as our mobile artist in residence.
