YOUR CHURCH INSURANCE CONSULTANT?
THE tasks undertaken by today’s churchwardens are many and varied. Health and safety, security, administration and the day-to-day running of the church are just some of the responsibilities held by churchwardens. Whether you are new to the role or not some of this can seem incredibly daunting.
However, with a little help and guidance and the right tools to help you understand your responsibilities it need not be.
“There is not much we
haven’t seen over the last 130 years so we are well placed to offer advice and guidance to our church customers on topics such as health and safety, security and church events.” Michael Angell, Church Operations Director for Ecclesiastical Insurance, explained.
The specialist insurer has a wealth of resources available to churches for free on its website
www.ecclesiastical.com as well as a risk management helpline available to its church customers.
“While there is a lot of information on our website, we understand that sometimes having someone to talk things through with is really needed. Of course, our church team is always at the end of the phone but we also know the value of having someone come to the church, which is why we recruited our church insurance consultants.”
Chris Brudenell (WALES & SW ENGLAND)
With a background in both insurance and the not-for- profit sector, Chris had a great starting point for his role as a church insurance consultant. Drawing on his experience as an events manager for a national Christian charity, he is well prepared for attending and running training sessions. Chris began his insurance career working with church and charity policies, risk management and health and safety issues, so he has a deep understanding of churches and their insurance and risk management concerns. He spends his spare time with his family in Wales, and enjoys running and live music.
Rebecca Chantler (SOUTH EAST)
Rebecca has spent many years in the insurance industry including working as an Ecclesiastical church surveyor. Her passion for delivering excellent customer service and her knowledge of churches provides the perfect combination for her role as a church insurance consultant. During her time as a surveyor, Rebecca provided detailed insurance valuations to Ecclesiastical’s customers. She worked as the local Ecclesiastical representative for the Chichester and Canterbury dioceses, giving specific risk management advice and attending diocesan training events.
After work, Rebecca enjoys spending quality family time with her partner, two children and two French Bulldogs.
