Park World spoke to Eyad Alshaar, Chairman of Alshaar Amusement Services, about the current state of the entertainment market in the UAE and the Middle East.

lshaar Amusement Services was founded in 1988 in Syria and opened its largest branch in the UAE in 2013. It has


witnessed significant expansion in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe recently, in large part thanks to the recent growth of the entertainment industry amidst the rise of new cities and the rise in the global standard of living. In conversation, company Chairman, Eyad Alshaar, points out that thanks to the growth of business and modern technologies in the UAE, the company has achieved great success, with investment reaching 20 million dirhams distributed across several countries in the region. The company manufactures and installs large,


medium and small amusement rides and trailer rides for recreational camps according to the highest international standards, especially the European standard. The company also sells, buys and renews electrical rides through specialized teams with high efficiency, and trades in spare parts and disassembles and assembles rides. The company is also an independent agent for the international companies Huss Park Attraction and Huss Part and Service. Eyad has extensive experience in all types of


amusement rides, especially those mounted on trailers. His most notable projects include Global Village in Dubai and Dubai Parks and Resorts. He has also participated in several international exhibitions related to amusement rides in Asia and Europe, in addition to participating in the Middle East and Gulf region. He aspires to expand his participation to reach a greater number of countries around the world and strengthen cooperation with renowned international parks.

Gaming and Digital Sports Festival, which will take place from April 25 to May 11, 2025. In addition, the Dubai International Exhibition for


Entertainment and Leisure (DEAL 2025) will be held from April 8 to 10, 2025. It is considered one of the most prominent trade shows for the entertainment sector in the Middle East and North Africa region. In the Middle East, the media and entertainment


market is expected to reach USD 42.72 billion in 2024, with a projected CAGR of 9.41% to reach USD 66.99 billion by 2029. The region's wellness industry is also booming, with thousands of tourists flocking to the region each year seeking recreation, wellness, and wellness destinations, contributing 13% of the USD 26 billion Middle East tourism market. These indicators reflect the continued growth and


development of the entertainment sector in the UAE and the Middle East, with a focus on hosting major events and developing tourism and entertainment infrastructure.
