Park World caught up with the world's leading water slide manufacturer to talk about 2026 and its dynamic new ride at Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada, Kilauea.
Can you tell us how the fi rst half of 2026 has been for ProSlide? The first half of 2026 has been incredibly exciting for ProSlide. We’ve seen strong momentum globally, with major project openings across Asia, Europe, and North America, continued demand for innovative water ride experiences, and meaningful conversations with operators focused on future growth. This year we’ve also had the commercial debut
of several major ride advancements, including PowerRAPIDS, which represents an entirely new category of water ride experience.
What have been the big ‘events’ for the company so far this year? Several milestones stand out: One of the biggest was the global debut of PowerRAPIDS at Aquatopia Water Park in Vietnam. PowerRAPIDS introduces a completely new ride experience that combines dynamic motion, shared thrill, and the energy of rushing rapids in a highly repeatable attraction. We’ve also celebrated significant openings
across multiple regions, including major new attractions at Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada in Spain, Aquamania Jungle Park at Rixos Radamis

in Egypt, and Vung Tau Aquatopia in Vietnam. Industry events have also been important,
most recently IAAPA Expo Asia, where we had meaningful conversations with operators about expansion, new development, and what’s next for water parks globally.
Is there an overarching goal that is driving the company this year? Our focus remains clear: helping our clients build high performance water ride experiences that drive long-term success. That means continuing to innovate while staying deeply focused on what matters most to operators
- guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, throughput, and return on investment. At ProSlide, innovation is never just about
creating something new. It’s about solving real challenges and helping our clients create experiences that stand out in an increasingly competitive entertainment landscape.
Tell us all about Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada… Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada has been one of the most exciting projects of 2026 for ProSlide. This summer, the park unveiled Kilauea, a
groundbreaking RocketBLAST water coaster and one of the most dynamic water ride experiences in Europe. Kilauea is unique in Europe, combining five
RocketBLAST propulsion sections with three FlyingSAUCER features to create an incredibly dynamic ride experience. Riders launch in four- person rafts, accelerating from 0 to more than 30 km/h in seconds before navigating steep drops, high-speed turns, and moments of sustained weightlessness. It delivers an intense, high-energy experience while remaining highly social and family-friendly,
