Brogent on track to deliver more ride openings in 2021 than in any other year before

Brogent, a leading provider of turnkey media- based attractions celebrated its 20th birthday in February with the announcement that it would open 20 new rides around the globe in 2021. Here, head of sales and marketing, Stefan Rothaug reflects on the evolution of media-based attractions, before revealing more on the company’s recent openings.

ith multiple new openings this year on three different continents, we can really say that panoramic flying attractions have become mainstream. Like Brogent itself, the media-based attraction segment has been around for two decades, and the flying theatre has strengthened its position to become one of – if not THE, leading media- based attraction ride when it comes to guest satisfaction and quality experience. Ten years ago, the flying theatre was only an option for bigger destination parks. Affordable indoor attractions with this kind of impact were rare. Now, we are seeing more and more regional parks having the ability to add this kind of attraction to their park; and visitors of those midsized parks are amazed because the experience surpasses their expectations. We have opened a new standing panoramic

flying attraction with “Aladdin’s Grand Palace Tour” at VinWonders Phu Quoc in Vietnam. So, we are further innovating in the panoramic flying attractions field. We have also introduced a new concept called miRide, that features competitive racing seats with realtime motion simulation. This one will open soon at VinWonders Nha Trang, which is in Vietnam as well. With this product we are further venturing into the gaming-based attractions genre, which in the future might even outgrow the current media-based attractions segment. Two further attractions have recently opened to the public in China: “Flight over Changbai Mountain” in Changbaishan and “Flying Over Guizhou” in Miao Village in Guizhou. We are on track to open all the 20 projects promised in the Winter Part 2 issue of Park World.
