Experience learning beyond the classroom…. We believe the most effective way to learn is by hands-on experience. Our educational workshops nurture creativity, imagination and play, inviting your pupils to reconnect not only with nature but with themselves, empowering them with skills to

An Integrative Learning Experience By linking the building project to different aspects of the National Curriculum we can provide more relevance to what they are learning by putting it into a more realistic context. Some pupils can find it difficult to grasp certain concepts within a more theoretical and classroom based environment, and so by transporting your pupils into a fresh learning
local community and getting them engaged in extra curricular activities to support their in-school learning.

Our Story
The Roundhouse Company, based in Runcorn, Cheshire, was founded by husband and wife team, Annabel and Alan Cameron-Duff. Our 14 years of experience in the field of sustainable building, working with a variety of natural materials (cob - a mix of clayey subsoil, sand and straw/ hemp/ lime/ stone/ and timber) enables us to provide valuable consultation and support for your project, efficient project management and build time and great experience in dealing with difficult sites. We have collaborated with a wealth of organisations, groups and individuals, from Schools and City Councils to Community Farms and wildfowl and wetland & wildlife trusts. This has included worked with people with disabilities, mental health issues and learning difficulties.
