This latest addition builds on Metal Technology’s established Passive House range, which includes System 17Hi+ Curtain Walling, System 5-45Hi+ Tilt and Turn Window, and the 5-35DHi+ Door system. The addition of a certified casement system will further strengthen that offer, enabling specifiers to respond more effectively to differing project requirements. Since introducing the range just four

years ago, they’ve already been used, or are currently on site, on projects with a combined construction value of over £2.5bn across the UK and Ireland. Some standout schemes include the £120m St Columba’s RC and Woodmill High Schools in Scotland, the £35m Weaver’s Hall in Belfast city centre

– the first Passive House student accommodation in Ireland, and a £400m student development in Manchester which is set to become the largest Passive House project of its kind in Europe. Alongside product development,

Metal Technology has also developed a RIBA-approved Passive House CPD, giving architects and specifiers a clear understanding of Passive House design – covering key principles such as façade U-values, thermal bridging, airtightness, ventilation, solar gain, and the overall standard. From a project perspective,

Metal Technology supports clients from concept right through to completion. The company’s Passive House-qualified design team provides proactive technical

input to make sure systems integrate seamlessly into the building’s overall energy and design strategy. That collaborative approach is why

they’ve become a trusted partner for fabricators, contractors, developers, and architects. And finally, it all ties back to sustainability – all systems are manufactured using low- carbon and ultra-low-carbon aluminium, aligning with wider industry efforts to reduce embodied carbon and support the move towards truly zero-emission buildings.
