or children with physical disabilities or complex postural needs, spending the school day in one seated position can affect comfort, concentration and participation. Regular changes of position may be essential, yet moving a child to a floor mat or separate therapy space can take them away from classmates and interrupt learning.
The Acheeva Learning Station gives schools a practical alternative. Designed for children aged approximately five to eighteen, it supports prone, supine and side- lying positions while keeping the child at a useful height within the classroom. This means therapy, postural care, reading, device use and other activities can take place alongside peers, helping pupils remain visible, fully involved and connected to everyday lessons.
Its adjustable height, back recline and tilt-in-space functions allow staff to recreate documented positions and adapt support to the individual child. Optional supports, pressure-redistribution layers, a table and tablet holder can further tailor the station for learning, comfort and therapy.
The benefits extend to staff, too. Activities that might otherwise happen at floor level can be completed at a safer working height, reducing strain on backs and knees. The manoeuvrable design may also reduce unnecessary transfers between seating, therapy and changing activities.
Most importantly, the Acheeva can help schools combine education and postural management rather than treating them as competing priorities.
