Direct current lighting solution boosts sustainability for businesses
The Tecton DC is a direct current variant of ZUMTOBEL’s Tecton continuous row lighting system that ‘unlocks’ the full potential of renewable energy sources while promoting the use of DC networks. Harnessing energy from local
renewable sources without conversion losses, the Tecton DC is described as offering companies a more sustainable lighting solution, with up to 4% additional energy savings for energy-intensive industrial sectors. To ensure a fail-safe power supply and reliable lighting, the system can be fitted with a battery buffer and an emergency light function, addressing the issue of fluctuations in mains voltage when using renewable energy. The Tecton DC is designed for easy
retrofitting or standalone use, with a straightforward conversion process that involves replacing the Tecton ballast with a DC-compatible driver. The system also offers the option of infinitely variable power tapping along the entire length of the continuous row, with a unique safety concept ensuring safe assembly and installation.

Flexible commercial HVAC system for diverse building needs
EVIO is the name of LENNOX’s latest commercial HVAC system. It is an air- cooled rooftop unit designed to provide energy efficient climate control solutions for a variety of commercial building types, including shopping centres, supermarkets, restaurants, and logistics/ storage facilities. A key advantage of the EVIO is its
seasonal energy efficiency, with a SEER of up to 207% for cooling and a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of up to 168% for heating, far exceeding the requirements set by the European Ecodesign Directive. This high level of efficiency is achieved through advancements such as a new electronic expansion valve, multi-scroll tandem compressor, and EC fan motor technology. Further supporting EVIO’s low

the internationally recognised PEP ecopassport scheme, is the system’s use of R32 refrigerant. This low-charge refrigerant, with its low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and absence of PFAS, is safe for both the environment and people. Flexibility is another strong suit of the
EVIO, with a wide range of airflow and thermal capacity options to suit diverse building needs. Key features include an airflow supply of up to 50,000m³/h and extended outdoor operating limits from -20°C to +52°C. The EVIO also boasts a modern user

Elta has launched a new range of Qube inline ducted box fans, available in both AC and EC versions. They are designed for high- temperature commercial kitchen ventilation as well as general building ventilation applications. The new EC variants

Energy efficient VRF climate solution offers flexible heating and cooling
The KXZ3 2 pipe VRF system is the latest climate and energy solution developed by MHIAE. It has been designed around six key concepts: global environment, design flexibility, energy efficiency, wellness and comfort, toughness, and serviceability. In terms of environmental impact, the
KXZ3 utilises the low-GWP refrigerant R32, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 70% compared to previous models. The system also features improved seasonal energy efficiency ratings through advancements in compressor design, air management, and heat exchanger optimisation. The KXZ3 boasts a compact, modular design that offers maximum flexibility. The single units come in three sizes up to 33.5kW, which can be combined in twin or triple configurations to cover a wide capacity range. The system supports up to 80 indoor units of various types and can handle total piping lengths up to 1,000m. Serviceability has also been enhanced,
with easy front-side access to the control box and refrigeration components. The remote controller and monitoring devices provide valuable data, such as fan air volume flow rate and running hours. In addition to energy efficiency, the
KXZ3 prioritises user comfort and wellness, with features like dual defrost modes and continuous heating functions

new Qube range is that they now have redesigned connections to connect the fans to other ventilation ancillaries, such as bolt-on filter boxes, making them more adaptable and flexible. Meanwhile, all the fan’s components are now enclosed within the box, whereas previous
models of the Qube had the fan motor outside the box. This further helps with space and kitchen configurations where space might be limited. Elta has also introduced
new gas interlock systems alongside the Qube. Gas interlock systems provide a fail-safe by limiting the gas flow to appliances until the ventilation system is on, and is a mandatory requirement in
