HYMARNHAM POWER’S GREEN HYDROGEN PROJECT SHORTLISTED FOR UK’S NET ZERO HYDROGEN FUND
Representing a total initial investment of
HyMarnham Power, a joint venture between hydrogen pioneer GeoPura and sustainable waste processing leader JG Pears, has been shortlisted for the UK Government’s Net Zero Hydrogen Fund. The project, based in the East Midlands, will develop the production, storage and transportation of low-carbon hydrogen.
WEG LAUNCHES EV CHARGING STATIONS
Global electrical equipment manufacturer, WEG, has launched its new range of electric vehicle charging systems – the WEMOB parking recharging stations – to the European market. The equipment has already been successfully rolled out in South America and deployed in selected positions in Europe. WEMOB (WEG Mobility) Chargers, represent adaptable charging equipment designed to cater to a range of electric vehicle types.

It is therefore unfortunate that the Prime Minister has injected uncertainty by moving the goalposts when it comes to the phaseout date for new petrol and diesel cars, putting at risk well paid jobs in the industries of the future.” Patrick Reich, CEO and co-founder of EV charging app Bonnet, said:
“It would be very disappointing to see the UK lower its ambition just as businesses are investing huge sums and consumers beginning to switch in great numbers to electric vehicles.” Dave A Roberts, managing director of VisNet, commented: “It’s disappointing that the timescale for EV adoption has been pushed back to this extent… Shifting the focus like this creates significant uncertainty for industry and energy network providers, while also risking potential job creation within this space. It’s important that we don’t lose momentum and jeopardise Britain’s position of leadership in the global decarbonisation effort.“ However, some companies remain committed to their goals, as

Harnessing the expertise of GeoPura and JG Pears, the site will be powered by 43MW of new solar energy and utilises 8MW of electrolysers, establishing a long-term supply of low-carbon hydrogen in the region. This has a planned commercial operation date

HONEYWELL TEAMS UP WITH ARBIN INSTRUMENTS TO REVOLUTIONISE LI-ION BATTERY MANUFACTURING
Honeywell has enhanced its Battery Manufacturing Excellence Platform (MXP) for lithium-ion battery manufacturers and gigafactories through a collaboration with Arbin Instruments to integrate an advanced autonomous formation system. “Our patented new formation technology provides high precision battery

stated: “Heat pumps are three times more efficient than fossil fuel boilers, and we are highly confident in their ability to help in decarbonising home heating and contributing to the delivery of net zero by 2050 – with the government currently targeting 600,000 installations per year by 2028.” Dr Matthew Trewhella, CEO of The Kensa Group, added: “We are making
excellent progress towards our vision of a subsidy-free, low carbon heating and cooling future that is greener, cheaper and safer than fossil fuel heating. Stalling this progress would be shortsighted, regressive and deprive the British economy of the billions of pounds of benefits that transitioning to Net Zero would bring.” Chris Maclean, CEO, True, commented: “The government’s move to delay key green targets have undoubtedly caused a ripple effect of uncertainty amongst businesses and investors in the UK.
