All-round no-worries package for injection molders
ComoNeo from Kistler features new functions and enhanced connectivity
Kistler has added a whole series of new features to its ComoNeo process monitoring system – taking integrated injection molding production to new levels of quality and efficiency. The ComoNeo 4.1 is WLAN-compatible for the first time, and users will appreciate even more improvements such as additional interfaces and comfortable user management. The ComoNeo from Kistler is a high-precision cavity pressure monitoring system. It turns
injection molding into a transparent process with vastly improved quality and optimum use of resources. The system offers a whole series of monitoring and control functions to improve injection molding processes – even including model-based prediction of part quality, (ComoNeoPREDICT).
Brammer Buck & Hickman Introduces Innovative Safety Footwear
Brammer Buck & Hickman, the UK’s leading supplier of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services, is pleased to introduce the GISS Linzor Safety Boot and GISS Luxsar Safety Shoe. Both GISS Linzor Safety Boot and GISS Luxsar Safety Shoe
are innovative in design and performance. Incorporating Infinergy® for an increased level of comfort and Putek for extremely high levels of abrasion, the footwear offers all day comfort with extreme durability. The Infinergy® technology helps to maintain energy levels for longer than any traditional sole
with the added benefit of lightness, freedom of movement, anti-fatigue and reduction of musculoskeletal disorders. The Putek technology offers a lightweight, water-repellent upper which is highly resistant to
abrasion, is ultra-light and ultra-breathable meaning users receive an extremely comfortable shoe, while overall improving user wellbeing.

Everything's under control – because the envelope curve is adapted to the process Thanks to a new function of the ComoNeo 4.1, the monitoring of the pressure curves is even more accurate. This function calculates an "envelope curve" on the basis of any desired number of curves, providing a reference for stable injection molding processes. This is especially helpful when users need to evaluate individual events or even (almost) the entire profile for compliance with critical tolerances – and they can also set the quality criteria manually.
Proactive response to challenges in the medtech sector ComoNeo 4.1 also includes two new software modules that respond to increased requirements for electronic production records in the medtech industry: with ComoNeoLDAP, ComoNeo can use your company's existing Windows user management – the key to direct, automated management of existing user guidelines. Another innovation is ComoNeoLOG: this feature ensures secure, time- indexed electronic storage of all user activities that involve changing or deleting electronic records (audit trail).
Efficiency boost through wireless communication To ensure an even more comfortable user experience, ComoNeo from Kistler now includes WLAN functionality: a normal commercial USB stick with Wi-Fi capability is all that's needed to integrate the system into a company's existing network via WLAN. The benefit: users can now connect the process monitoring system to the production environment via wireless. ComoNeo's user interface (UI) has been expanded both regarding connectivity and usability:
with the "External UI" function, users can now view external data (such as production data from ComoDataCenter or an MES) on ComoNeo's display. And the ComoNeo UI can also be viewed on the machine control (or elsewhere) via VNC (Virtual Network Computing). This means that customers can now assemble their individual HMI on a variety of devices. Besides enhanced monitoring capability, user guidance and connectivity, the ComoNeo 4.1 also
Armoloy TDC® coated linear rail and ballscrews from Matara for high wear resistance
When motion equipment is being used in harsh environments, it needs to be of resilient design and manufactured from highly durable materials. Matara UK Ltd, specialist in automation, pneumatics and linear motion products, provides customers with Armoloy TDC® coated linear rail and ballscrews for maximum longevity in demanding applications and locations. Matara linear rail and ballscrews use top grade materials and are subjected to extremely rigorous
heat treatment and grinding processes, for high quality products. For added protection, and where the standard materials will not suffice, these products are now available with Armoloy TDC® coating, which is a hard (78Rc), thin, dense chromium coating with a micro-nodular surface texture. Using Armoloy® TDC coatings provides corrosion protection equal to 440 series stainless steel.
