The limited height in the main structure prevented them from installing an overhead crane system, which is essential for manoeuvring large, heavy boilers during assembly. To meet their production requirements, McQuillan Boiler Services needed a facility with at least 7 metres of internal clearance, allowing them to accommodate a robust overhead crane capable of lifting and positioning their boilers. This additional height was crucial to ensuring safety during the manufacturing process, as it enabled workers to handle bulky components with ease and minimised delays caused by lack of space.

visited McQuillan Boiler Services to discuss best solution for their business needs. After thoroughly reviewing the site’s constraints and understanding the team’s operational goals, he provided a proposal for a tailored temporary structure to meet their requirements. The Aganto team was able to provide a 10m x 30m insulated structure with a height of 7.2m to give the required internal clearance. The structure also featured solid gables, providing additional durability for their heavy- duty equipment. This design also allowed for the installation of an overhead crane, giving the height needed to manoeuvre the large industrial boilers. was able to begin the installation quickly. On- site preparation began just four weeks later, and the installation was completed within just six days to reduce the impact on day-to- installation, the entire process took only six weeks, allowing McQuillan Boiler Services to increase their production speed without extended downtime. The new structure has greatly enhanced their manufacturing process. By allowing for crane-assisted lifting, McQuillan Boiler required for assembling boilers, achieving a faster turnaround on production.
