MACH 2022
MACH 2022 TO FEATURE LATEST FACTORY AND HANDLING SOLUTIONS
M
ACH 2022 will have a strong focus on the factory and handling solutions relevant to today’s manufacturers, in addition to having the largest display of new machinery and manufacturing technologies under one roof in the UK for four years.
Aside from the revival of the manufacturing industry post-pandemic, the exhibition will also be giving special focus to the drive to Net Zero and exploiting the opportunities offered by decarbonisation, and the abilities of the UK supply drive to deliver targeted solutions to specific needs. There will also be a strong focus on logistics for manufacturers, with a dedicated zone within the exhibitions featuring displays from some major players in the field.
Combilift (Stand 6-170) will be showcasing some of its innovative material handling solutions as well as the new models it has developed over the last couple of years. The company said the ability of its many products to save space in storage and production areas proved to be invaluable during the pandemic when manufacturers needed to keep up production levels while ensuring the social distancing of employees.
In line with growing demand for cleaner, greener operation – and in keeping with one of the main themes of the show, there will be a special focus on Combilift’s electric models, including the award-winning Combi-CBE - the world’s first counterbalance design, multidirectional forklift with electric drive on all of its three wheels. Crown Lift Trucks UK is making its MACH debut this year and is showing a range of solutions for the manufacturing sector, a market growing in importance for the company.
Simon Barkworth, Managing Director, Crown Lift Trucks UK, said: “Manufacturing is an important sector for Crown and being able to showcase our products to industry decision makers and influencers is very important. We are therefore delighted to be exhibiting at MACH for the first time, and we believe our versatile range of lift trucks can meet the demands of any manufacturer – large or small.”
Taking centre stage on the Crown stand (19-368) will be the versatile SCT counterbalance forklift truck. Engineered for exceptional reliability, the durable steel-constructed truck offers the perfect blend of control, comfort and practicality, making it the ideal solution for the demanding conditions prevalent in the manufacturing sector. The truck is available in three- or four-wheel configurations, with lift capacities from 1300 kg to 2000 kg. CSD Automation (19-219) produces special
purpose machinery and engineering solutions including bespoke process automation equipment, conveyors, handling equipment, robotics, and lifting equipment. It will be demonstrating its products in the Logistics for Manufacturing Zone. Dalmec Manipulators (18-232) provides bespoke pneumatic industrial manipulators to aid the efficient handling of various products ranging in size and weight to 1500 kg.
FlowStore Systems (20-642) creates a wide range of custom material handling solutions to meet various process requirements. Its FlowTube and extrusion product ranges feature an extensive range of aluminium tubes and profiles, steel tubes, brackets, castors, roller tracks and other accessories to build any type of flow rack, workstation, storage rack, and trolleys. MACH 2022, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham between 4-8th April, could not be timelier for the manufacturing sector. The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), which organises the show, believes the growing optimism surrounding the sector will see bumper levels of business transacted during the show. Exhibitors too, are excited at the prospect of showcasing their latest products to an eager array of buyers ready to capitalise on the current financial incentives such as Super Deduction and AIA available to businesses prepared to invest in capital assets.
James Selka, CEO of the MTA, said: “With the UK economy growing above forecasts for 2021 and the CBI predicting that plans for spending on plant and machinery over the coming twelve months have improved considerably, the timing of MACH 2022 could not be better.
“In order to make step change improvements in productivity and therefore competitiveness, you only need three things – Technologies, the skill to acquire and deploy those technologies and the finance to make it happen. Technologies have never been more powerful and affordable, the UK has an incredible reputation for its innovative and flexible workforce, and finance assisted by government incentives is incredibly good value and hugely available.”
Special features for this MACH include the Engineering Supply Chain Show, sponsored by Lloyds Bank and the Engineering Industries Association, the show is where engineering and manufacturing buyers can go to source world- class suppliers, exclusively in the UK engineering and manufacturing supply chain. Debuting at the show this year is a special Tooling Clinic run by the University of Sheffield
