Montech AG launches a new belt conveyor line for cleanrooms

Cleanroom Conveyors With its new belt conveyor line, this Swiss technology company now offers custom-tailored transport solutions for cleanrooms. The specially developed belt conveyors are tested and certified for cleanrooms with ISO air purity classes 4, 5, and 6. They are used in various industries such as the pharmaceutical/medical, chemical, electrical, and semiconductor industries. Cleanroom production is subject to strict cleanliness and precision requirements. Only certified

belt conveyors prevent contamination by the smallest particles. The Swiss technology company Montech AG specializes in the industrialization and standardization of state-of-the-art belt conveyors, transfer systems, and innovative aluminum framing systems. Montech AG is responding to demanding cleanroom requirements with a new conveyor line in its product portfolio.

Tested and certified The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation IPA has subjected three Montech AG belt conveyors to an in-depth test and certified them. As an independent public research institution, it provides objective certification services that are internationally recognized.

TB30R-140x1500/VR belt conveyor The TB30R-140x1500/VR belt conveyor is certified by the Fraunhofer IPA for use in ISO 4 class cleanrooms for a speed of 30m/min. It has been tested according to ISO 14644-14 and is suitable and certified under the specified test parameters to be used in cleanrooms of the air purity class 4 according to ISO 14644-1.

TB40R-400x1500/VR belt conveyor The TB40R-400x1500/VR belt conveyor is certified by the Fraunhofer IPA for use in ISO 4 class cleanrooms for a speed up to 15m/min and in class ISO 5 cleanrooms for a speed from 15m/min up to 30m/min. It has been tested according to ISO 14644-14 and is suitable and certified under the specified test parameters for use in cleanrooms of air purity classes 4 and 5 according to ISO 14644-1.

TB30R-140x1500/MR belt conveyor The TB30R-140x1500/MR belt conveyor is certified by the Fraunhofer Institute IPA for use in ISO 5 class cleanrooms for a speed up to 15m/min and in ISO 6 class cleanrooms for a speed from 15m/ min up to 30m/min. It has been tested according to ISO 14644-14 and is suitable and certified under the specified test parameters for use in cleanrooms of air purity classes 5 and 6 according to ISO 14644-1.

Modular design for custom-tailored solutions All three certified belt conveyors from Montech AG are used as feed and discharge belts in individual production systems and for interlinking complete production processes, for example for the intralogistics of catheters, syringes, liquid handling, microprocessors, and optical components.

Union Industries closes out competition with installation of its Ramdoor

Union Industries, the UK’s leading manufacturer of bespoke industrial doors, has helped Esterform overcome multiple issues with the installation of its cutting-edge high-speed Ramdoor.

The project was overseen

by Union Industries’ new Technical Sales Engineer, Gary Clayton. A sales and engineering professional with almost 20 years of experience across various sectors, Gary will cover the regions across the south of England for the sales division of Union. Tenbury Wells-based

Esterform, the largest

independent converter of PET in the UK, faced operational setbacks with its previous high-speed door due to poor performance, escalating repair costs and frequent failures during adverse weather conditions. As a result, it decided to replace its existing door after selecting Union Industries’ robust Ramdoor.

The Ramdoor has been engineered to achieve a Class 5 wind resistance rating, making it able to withstand strong winds and to remain operational even during severe weather conditions. Achieving this rating is supported by a number of the Ramdoor’s features, including its thick Ramhide door curtain material, which is high frequency welded together, giving the strongest fabric joins available.

In addition, it has heavy-duty wind-brace and wind-bar systems for added strength, plus extra- deep side-guides, which all contribute to the Ramdoor’s ability to cope with high wind loads and pressures. Like other doors in the Union range, it also benefits from a ‘Crash Out’ facility, in case of vehicle or personnel impact to the bottom beam, thus ensuring minimal downtime and repair costs. The Ramdoor at Esterform has been equipped with visual and audible warning systems, to enhance safety and functionality in a high-noise environment. These additional extras ensure that employees are alerted to the door’s operation, allowing them to take necessary precautions. Darryl Gunn, Group Technical Manager at Esterform, said: “Union’s Ramdoor has proven to be a game-changer for us, providing a robust solution to our challenges. We appreciate the professionalism and expertise demonstrated by the Union Industries team throughout the entire process.” Gary Clayton, Union Industries’ Technical Sales Engineer, said: “Union Industries remains

at the forefront of innovation, delivering bespoke industrial door solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of its clients.” “The successful installation at Esterform showcases the reliability and durability of our

Ramdoor. We are committed to delivering solutions that not only meet but exceed our customer’s expectations, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.” “It’s a great time to join Union; their reputation is second to none and I look forward to working with new and existing customers.”
