Rite-Hite launches new management system for optimum control of HVLS Fans

Rite-Hite, one of the leading manufacturers of industrial health and safety equipment, has launched a new wireless fan control system to further improve the working conditions in warehouse and logistics environments. The new Fan Commander 2.0 is a touch-screen control box which enables operators to

remotely control fan settings via Wi-Fi from a single location. Thanks to its powerful and innovative technology, the new Fan Commander 2.0 can coordinate the operation of up to 24 high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) Rite-Hite fans, located up to 120 meters apart. Fans can be arranged into four separate zones and still be operated simultaneously or independently, as well as being turned on and off. Fan speeds are also adjustable in 1% increments between the 20% and 100% settings. Weekly schedules can also be programmed, allowing fans to operate only when needed, hence maximising energy saving.

ifm provides all-in-one control and monitoring for quarter-turn valves

Featuring compact construction and easy mounting, the new MVQ201 valve sensor from ifm electronic not only monitors and reports valve position to the nearest degree, but also has an integral M12 connector that can be used for connecting the valve. With this option, the valve is controlled via the same IO-Link connection used to monitor the sensor, which eliminates the need for separate valve wiring, thereby reducing both installation complexity and cost. In use, the MVQ201 sensor continually monitors the

valve position and makes the position data available to the control system via an IO-Link interface. The sensor can also be programmed to detect changes, such as increased opening and closing times, which might indicate valve faults or blockages, and to report these changes via IO-Link. This makes it an ideal choice for use in condition-based maintenance applications.

Grab-O-Matic Quick Attach/Release Drum Handler

St Clare Engineering Ltd (Grab-O-Matic) have developed a Quick Attach/Release drum handler fork attachment. The Grab-O-Matic QR-2-DLR is a double drum handler that can be securely attached to the forks and released without the need for the truck driver to dismount from his cab. St Clare Engineering are always looking to develop their Grab-O-Matic range of drum

handling fork attachments to try and increase safety and efficiency. The time it takes to attach and release mechanical attachments from the forks was

identified as an area where improvements could be made with the correct design and implementation. Current methods to secure attachments include T Bolt Fixings, Heel Pins or Chain & Clamps

onto the forks or carriages of the fork truck. All these involved the truck driver dismounting from his cab to secure the attachment to the forks, all perfectly safe ways to secure the units but time consuming.

Introducing the new Cobot End of Line Palletiser from Phoenix Handling Solutions

The new SRP Cobot from Phoenix Handling Solutions (PHS) is an extremely compact, versatile and fully automatic, low-cost modular robot palletising system, based on a Hyundai YL012 6 axis industrial collaborative robot. Given the PHS vast experience in end of line automation, Cobots were a natural progression for its business for existing and new customers alike. They are simple to install and do not require masses of conveyors to feed them. Hence, they can be easily placed at the end of a production line picking and placing product 24/7 if required. The Cobot can palletise up to 18 cases per minute when multi picking. It has a radar safety

scanning system to the front, in order to detect personnel. It can handle up to 12kg including the gripper and there is also a layer sheet option.
