Tailored Handling Solutions from B&B Attachments take Centre Stage at IMHX
IMHX 2025, the UK’s premier event for logistics and supply chain professionals, is set to return to the NEC Birmingham from 9th–11th September and B&B Attachments is ready to showcase the very latest in forklift attachment innovation on Stand E10.
“Preparations are nearly complete, and we’re excited to reveal what we’ve been working on,”
says Mike Barton, Managing Director at B&B Attachments. “This year, visitors to our stand will see the most advanced handling solutions from B&B, alongside cutting-edge developments from our partner KAUP, all under one roof.”
Rise to new dimensions with KNAPP at IMHX 2025
KNAPP will be inviting visitors to rise to new dimensions at IMHX 2025, where the company will promote its portfolio of award-winning technologies for handling totes, cartons, pallets, flat packs and hanging garments. The exhibits on stand D96 will include KNAPP’s brand-new storage technology, AeroBot. Launched at LogiMAT earlier this year, where it won the coveted Best Product award, AeroBot features intelligent storage bots that move in three dimensions: lengthwise and crosswise on the floor and vertically by climbing the racks. Controlled by KNAPP’s KiSoft software, the bots can access any area of the system and work independently of one another, resulting in high availability and reliable operation. Handling containers weighing up to 35 kg in racks up to 12 m high, they store goods four deep to maximise storage density, and the system can work around beams, slanted walls and sloping ceilings to make the most of existing space.
Created with simplicity in mind, from startup to maintenance, AeroBot’s intelligent design means it is easy to implement and goes live quickly. Standardised components simplify maintenance and reduce servicing costs. The system can grow as required, by adding more locations for storage space or more bots to boost performance. The KNAPP team will also be promoting the company’s high-performance Evo Shuttle automated storage solution at IMHX. Used to store, pick, buffer, supply and sequence an incredibly wide variety of items – including chilled and frozen products – more than 600 Evo Shuttle systems and over 60,000 shuttles have been installed worldwide. Alongside AeroBot and Evo Shuttle, completing KNAPP’s formidable lineup for automated storage are the Fastbox rapid buffer tower, the KNAPP-Store solution for single items and the company’s lightweight stacker cranes for pallet handling.
Other KNAPP technologies that will be highlighted to visitors at IMHX include the Pick-it-Easy
Robot automated fulfilment system and the Open Shuttle automated mobile robots (AMRs). KNAPP will also present its proven software solutions – the KiSoft suite, SAP® EWM by KNAPP and redPILOT – which significantly boost efficiency during system operation and maintenance. Many of KNAPP’s software tools are supercharged by AI, including KiSoft Genomix for managing master data; KiSoft Analytics for real-time analysis and visualisation of client data; and redPILOT for simplifying and automating labour management and resource planning.
A standout product this year is the Open Centre LayerMaster, specifically engineered for the produce, retail and distribution sectors. This versatile attachment not only maintains the exceptional layer picking and depalletising performance of the original LayerMaster, but also supports full pallet swaps, pallet rebuilding, and mixed-load construction, providing unmatched flexibility for dynamic warehouse operations.
Also turning heads will be the KAUP Smart Load Control (SLC) system, an autonomous, patented technology that intelligently regulates clamping force without interfering with forklift hydraulics. “SLC is a game-changer,” says Mike. “It eliminates product damage by adjusting clamp pressure automatically based on load requirements, with no driver interaction required.”
New for 2025, B&B will feature the KAUP T266C Fork Positioner integrated with VETTER
SmartFork®, together they are a powerful combination for precision handling. The T266C offers excellent visibility, durability, and fast fork positioning. When paired with SmartFork®, it delivers a safer and more efficient operation. “This pairing enhances accuracy, reduces risk, and empowers operators with feedback in real-time,” adds Mike.
Available to view on stand E10 is the robust K320 BlockMaster attachment, purpose-built for
the concrete and construction industry. Designed to handle dense and heavy block products with precision and care, the BlockMaster ensures damage-free clamping and consistent load stability, even in the most demanding environments. “It’s engineered for performance and durability, ideal for block manufacturers and builders’ merchants looking to optimise throughput without compromising product quality,” explains Mike.
The ever-popular Push-Pull attachment will also be shown on stand E10. Ideal for operations using slip sheets instead of pallets, this attachment is designed to handle pallet-less materials efficiently. It is perfect for industries handling beverages, bagged goods, fruit, and corrugated packaging. “It’s a proven performer that delivers both cost efficiency and reliability,” Mike comments.
Visitors to Stand E10 can also explore tailored handling solutions for paper rolls, kegs and
casks, and palletised loads. Book a meeting with the B&B team today by calling 01670 737373, and experience firsthand how innovation is shaping the future of material handling.
