MATERIAL HANDLING  COMBILIFT

Combilift: Revolutionising material handling with an ever-growing range of innovative solutions

By Irish Material Handling Solutions Providers, Combilift C

ombilift, the Irish specialist in material handling, known for its strong commitment to innovation, launched the latest addition to the company’s four-wheel electric sideloader range, the Combi-FSE 8000. The FSE 8000 boasts several key features, including Advanced Independent Traction Control, which, paired with Combilift’s patented steering and traction technology, provides smooth and safe handling even in challenging, wet, or uneven yard conditions. Its Optimised Battery Placement, with a rear battery confi guration beneath the deck, improves visibility and balance, enabling easy reversing and quick battery swaps, crucial for multi-shift operations. The Heavy-Duty Load Platform features a

reinforced chassis and extended deck, allowing it to carry long and heavy loads while maintaining a compact size and excellent manoeuvrability. Additionally, the design focuses on Ergonomic Excellence, with Combilift’s full-visibility cab and intuitive controls to ensure operator comfort and safety during extended shifts.

This new model also comes equipped with Combi-Connect, Combilift’s advanced telematics system. This cloud-based platform enables real- time performance monitoring, diagnostics, and usage analytics, giving fl eet managers valuable insights to optimise productivity, reduce downtime and support proactive maintenance scheduling.

Unveiled alongside the FSE8000 at Ligna, the Combi Load Xtender is a new pantograph-style load extender that enables complete loading and unloading of trailers or rail wagons from a single side, a major advantage in yards where space is tight or trailer access is limited. This, in turn, reduces vehicle movement and fuel consumption in congested yards. Some of the key highlights of the new Combi Load Xtender include its ultra-low mechanism height, which features an ultra-compact design that ensures smooth movement and full functionality below standard trailer height without interference. Enhanced safety is another signifi cant advantage, as operators can securely load against the far closed side of the trailer, minimising the risk of products falling and keeping personnel out of busy traffi c zones. The open-frame pantograph structure also provides unobstructed visibility, enabling precise handling and safer operations. A key ingredient to Combilift’s success lies in its customer-driven approach. The company excels at recognising the evolving needs of its expanding customer base, actively incorporating feedback and crafting innovative products that often target untapped market niches. “These new solutions were developed in direct response to what we’re hearing from the timber sector,” said Martin McVicar, CEO of Combilift. “Customers need to move larger loads in tighter spaces with greater safety and lower emissions.
