Editor’s note Welcome to the July/August issue of Irish Manufacturing
W
elcome back to another issue of Irish Manufacturing, and my very fi rst full edition as the features editor on the magazine.
I’m really excited to be covering an exciting space across the range of industries we cover as Ireland and Northern Ireland continue to expand across engineering, warehouses and manufacturing. For those of you not aware of the change to the team, Casey still remains as the online editor, covering our website and social media, while my focus is fi rmly on the magazine. Cinnamon is still with us too as journal manager and we are looking forward to meeting more and more of our readers and contributors in person and over video calls.

July and August have been HOT and hopefully you can enjoy this issue while still basking in the sun, make sure to keep topped up with sun cream though eh. In this issue we look at how young minds are being inspired to shape the future of medical technologies (Page 12), how automation can continue to change the manufacturing businesses and streamline processes (Pages 26 & 28), as well as how you can contribute to an industry wide survey run by RS Components (Page 16) to continue making improvements across the sectors. Looking forward we have lots of exciting features coming up in the next issue and the next quarter is also full of trade shows, we are doing our best to get to as many as we can, so reach out if you are an exhibitor to arrange a meeting.
As I said I hope you enjoy the read, and I’m looking forward to providing you with more Irish Manufacturing news in the near future.
Enjoy the issue.
