Open the door to increased productivity. “

We are extremely happy with the solution delivered and the results obtained. Even more, we are very satisfied with the support received from Mitsubishi Electric, which guided us through all the steps of the project.

John Barrett Site Engineer, Profile Developments

A recent collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric led to a threefold productivity increase for leading door manufacturer Profile Developments. The project involved the creation of a new production line based on multiple FR-E series Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and other system-matched components at the company’s facility in Glin, Co. Limerick.

To enable quick and easy communication with the VSDs, Mitsubishi Electric’s long-term customer Profile Developments selected the MELSEC iQ-R PLC which has the CC-Link IE Field Basic network protocol built-in as standard.

Mitsubishi Electric also played a key role in implementing, integrating and assisting with PLC programming of the new line. The entire project, completed without incurring downtime, enabled Profile Developments to triple its throughput. As HMI’s help users be more proactive, uptime has also improved.
