NEWS Novotek opens Ireland office
Industrial digital solutions provider, Novotek has expanded its presence in Ireland with the opening of a new office. The company delivers consultation and vendor-led expert services across
Northern Europe, and said this move recognises the growing importance of the Irish market in the company’s future growth strategy. Novotek has a significant number of Irish customers and by strengthening its presence on the ground, the opening of the new office will allow the company to continue delivering consultation, vendor-led expert services, automation products and software licenses to the Republic of Ireland market, but with additional customer support. Novotek’s Irish operations will be led by new recruit, Martin Hurley, who
recently joined Novotek as business development manager for Ireland. He joined the business with 37 years of experience in various software and engineering sales roles. He spent 15 years working as the GE solution partner in Ireland. “Manufacturing is an industry that is really driving the Irish economy,”
Mr Hurley said. “In sectors such as pharmaceuticals, electronics and food production, we’ve seen some of the largest players establish sites here. “Following on from Brexit, an Irish office was the next logical move. We plan to offer supported home working with monthly meet ups, high basic salaries and ongoing training.”
Altus extends the reach of Essemtec to Ireland
Following a successful partnership in the UK, Altus Group, a leading supplier and service provider of capital equipment for the electronics industry, has announced a distribution agreement with Essemtec in Ireland.
The distribution expansion with Essemtec, industry leader in adaptive SMT pick-and-place equipment and intelligent production storage and logistic systems, will enable Altus to provide its customers in Ireland with the most innovative solutions in the marketplace. Gareth Fenton, Altus sales manager, Ireland, said: “We are delighted to
be given the opportunity to expand on our success with Essemtec and now bring the equipment to reach our full territory across Ireland and the UK.”
The deal comes after a successful year in Ireland, with Altus developing new growth potential and building its customer base within the region following investment in a growing team of experts. Mr Fenton said: “We have been working hard to offer the best service
possible for our customers and prospects locally from both a pre-sales and post-sales perspective. “It is gratifying to see that all of our hard work is paying off with successful projects and further opportunities.”
The Deluxe Group secures $40m US themed entertainment export sales
Portadown-based The Deluxe Group said it has catapulted the Province onto the worldwide stage for first-class ‘experience’ products and interior fit-out projects for the themed entertainment sector as it secures over $40 million of export contracts with top US clients. The company, which has been operating for more than 50 years and is a specialist in
upmarket interior fit-outs for the for the hospitality, residential, cruise and theme park sectors, is also investing more than £1.5m in an ambitious expansion plan. The investment includes an additional base in Antrim and new facilities in Portadown, which will increase its workshop capacity by over 100% and see it create 30 new jobs, both of which will accommodate its new contracts for theme parks and other immersive experiences around the world. To accommodate an influx of top-tier orders, The Deluxe Group has opened a new 40,000 sq ft manufacturing facility adjacent to Belfast International Airport with in-house composites fabrication, set-building and state-of-the-art finishing facilities.
