automation market ABB’s Robotics and Discrete Automation business is expanding its presence in Ireland with the opening of a new office in Dundalk, Co Louth.

art of a new multi-million-dollar facility, the office will provide customers with access to sales, service, and support for a full range of automated technologies including ABB’s industrial and mobile robots and machine automation solutions from B&R, a member of the ABB Group. Nigel Platt, local business unit manager, Robotics, UK and Ireland, said: “As the only company that can offer a complete portfolio of machine automation, robotics and mobile autonomous robot solutions, we are well placed to act as a single source partner to help companies of all sizes find ways to make their manufacturing processes smarter and more efficient.

between 2021 and 2028, from $1.33 billion to $2.9 billion, as companies look for ways to apply the latest technologies including robotics, artificial intelligence and augmented reality to help boost their productivity, flexibility and resilience. Colin Dullaghan, B&R regional manager for
