TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION ADVERTORIAL ATC SEMITEC launches new website

easily identify the ideal temperature sensor for their NPI or product upgrade.

A Rob Savin, ATC Semitec’s MD commented ‘We have spent

time redesigning our website with engineers and buyers in mind. Our mobile friendly site is searchable by market application, product type or via one of the world-leading, innovative manufacturers we represent.

With over 20 years’ experience in the thermal sensor

industry, our technical sales team provide the final link to designers, confirming specification, availability, competitive pricing, and of course samples.

‘Even with the new site, it’s always good to talk! It’s

during these conversations that our product knowledge helps design engineers save time and money finding the optimum sensor. I’d like to think that this is what we are the very best at!’

Workplace safety innovators, A-SAFE, are pushing impact aversion solutions to new heights of technological sophistication.

his newest addition to the A-SAFE range protects low hanging infrastructure in environments where

high-level vehicles such as forklift trucks are in operation. It is used to safeguard doorframes, loading docks, infrastructure and overhead walkways, as well as key safety assets such as sprinkler systems and ventilation pipes. The appropriately named Alarm Bar marries a significant audible alarm with bright red flashing lights, ensuring it is impossible to ignore.

Patented sensor technology mitigates the risk of

nuisance tripping “A common problem our customers encounter with alert systems across their facilities is false alarms. This can be caused by day-to-day traffic movement of heavy vehicles and operation of machinery; as well as wind currents. To solve this our electronics engineers developed a powerful new type of electronics technology, never before applied to the safety industry” explains A-SAFE’s Head of Technologies.

Pilot plant separation studies help to determine process feasibility, plant design and economics at an early stage and can give an accurate model of what a full-scale commercial plant could achieve. design and manufacture of advanced gearboxes for the top-level motorsport and high-performance automotive industries, required an effective solution to segregate various areas of its new extension. Union Industries designed, manufactured and

installed a Picadoor and two Static Fabric Industrial Partitions to create a 3-Sided static enclosure, resulting in two isolated areas within Xtrac’s extended CNC Shot Peening and Mastra department. The new Fabric Partitions have enabled Xtrac to make the best possible use of space within the new extension to its facilities, creating new areas for material stores and shot peening equipment, in order to help prevent the cross migration of contaminant airborne particulate and help to maintain temperature control.

nion Industries is helping a growing Berkshire manufacturer to keep its new facility extension

bespoke product for an existing customer, is one of Union Industries’ smaller, lighter weight, fast acting doors and helps to maintain temperatures and reduce energy consumption in small internal applications.

be ‘plug and play’ and can easily integrate into an existing production plant minimising the set up time for companies wishing to conduct trials at their own site. The plant, which can be equipped with multiple interchangeable full- scale membrane modules including tubular, spiral, ceramic or hollow-fibre options, uses sophisticated data collection software and digital IO-Link instrumentation enabling an accurate and detailed representation of the physical separation/concentration level achievable from the feed taken from a representative process stream.

It is quick and easy to install and fully height

adjustable thanks to heavy duty wires and adjustable gripple hooks. Its use of battery power also means it can be positioned anywhere on site. Achieving a two-year battery life, maintenance is kept to a minimum and the plug-and-play battery adaptor makes replacing the batteries a simple task. Thanks to the self-coloured and UV-stabilised polymer composition exclusive to A-SAFE, high visibility is maintained and its inbuilt strength and durability further supports the “fit and forget” solution. This enables warehouse and factory managers to concentrate on the job at hand, safe in the knowledge the technology is doing what it can to safeguard the business assets both in terms of people and property.
