A clean connection: Han® F+B for the food industry High resistance and safe handling
B
usinesses in the food industry who want to shorten set-up times and reduce production stoppages can
do so by using connectors. As a result, HARTING have developed the Han® F+B series. The series is specially designed to provide strong resistance to detergents, function in a wide temperature range from -40 to +125° C and prevent the build-up of dirt. The housings are certified by Ecolab and have FDA 21 approvals. Hygiene and safety are particularly important in food
processing, so machines and equipment must be easy to clean. Circular shapes and smooth junctions, transitions surfaces, threads and seals were chosen for the Han® F+B to ensure a hygienic, easy-to-clean design and to make it harder for dirt and bacteria to accumulate. An interface for food production must also be
resistant to the water jets used to clean equipment (IP69K) and the Han® F+B meets these requirements. Coupling and uncoupling is fast and easy with the
specially designed housing profile, which enables secure handling, even in humid environments. If machine downtime occurs, users no longer need to
open a cable gland on the control cabinet to decouple devices. As a result, costly detaching and re- establishing of hardwired connections is eliminated and machine downtimes are greatly reduced. For secure identification, the connectors are blue (a
black version is also available) and the housings can be used with hybrid contact inserts for data, signal and power. This makes it possible to configure future-proof machine design for processing units, including Ethernet. With the use of an adapter, the user can integrate a selection of Han® 3A inserts, including RJ45 interfaces.

railerloda has now been used outside of a trailer on the factory floor! This has been in-stalled in 2 European customers now in Fin-land and Norway. One customer has flowers flown into Oslo Airport for delivery to 120 shops.
They have a warehouse near the airport and until recently depended on a scissor lift for handling air cargo pallets. They installed the Trailerloda floor onto the warehouse
floor to unload from the aircargo trucks and use a standard dock. The pallets are unloaded and broken down into
separate deliveries using their own warehouse staff. This saves money and time from contracting out to a 3rd party warehouse on the airport. The technical specification of the ‘Warehouse
Trailerloda’ are the same as those of a normal Trailerloda. Customer found us by searching for roller systems and

Upgraded AOF Oil Mist Filters from AirBench A
extraction of oil mist and smoke from machining applications. AOF units can be machine-mounted, or supplied with separate stands where required. AOF is designed to use the wind shear principle for
initial separation of mist from airstreams. As the contaminant loading on the fan is very low, typically they do not suffer from loss of impeller balance and so can be serviced in-house at relatively long intervals. Units are supplied as standard with a high-grade final
filter with an estimated life of up to 3600 working hours. Usually available from stock, and supplied complete with
all parts required for mechanical installation, AirBench can solve most mist extraction issues quickly and simply.

SAB, a world leader in welding and cutting technologies, and their distributor partner for East Anglia, Elmdale
Welding & Engineering Supplies Ltd, have been supporting Armultra Ltd, a specialist welding contractor and fabricator, for 30 years. Armultra is expanding rapidly and welding processes are critical to its success, so the company has nurtured a close relationship with ESAB and Elmdale for the supply of welding equipment, consumables and technical services. Armultra has been operating from Great Yarmouth since
1985 and, today, it is a truly global player, with highly skilled welders working throughout Europe and further afield, particularly where offshore oil and gas facilities are operating. One substantial contract Armultra won recently was for the Bacton Gas Terminal on the English east coast.
