What a winning week!

This year’s DIY Week Awards was an extremely busy affair, as we kicked off the day’s proceedings with our brand-new Trade Talks conference. The attendance went well beyond my expectations with a packed room keen to hear from a line-up of expert speakers representing some of the industry’s best-known brands. Topics ranged from modern methods of marketing paint from AkzoNobel, selling on B&Q marketplace, the rise of rapid deliveries from TradeKart, and retail buying and ecommerce advice from the Daley Hub. All the content was relevant to today’s rapidly changing retail landscape and very well received by all the delegates who attended. I must take this opportunity to thank our speakers, who

gave up their valuable time to address our audience, and of course all those who attended. We then moved on to the day’s main event, the 2025 DIY Week Awards. And what an event it was, with 21 winners and 16 highly commended trophies presented to a wide range of worthy recipients. There was a great celebratory atmosphere in the room, as everyone enjoyed lunch, entertainment, drinks, and networking with friends and colleagues. The whole day was a triumph thanks to the organising team, judges, presenters, sponsors, attendees, and of course all our entrants and winners. You can find the results on p4 of this issue. Attention now turns to our next event, DIY Week Live on 21st & 22nd October at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham. The show has already attracted some high-profile exhibitors with more to be announced soon. Don’t miss your opportunity to meet them and keep up to date with the latest industry trends and developments. You can find out more and register at www.diyweeklive.co.uk. I look forward to seeing you there!
