Glee’s £1,000 incentive winner to bring gardening to local schools

The second of Glee’s new-for-2023 registration incentives saw one lucky attendee win £1,000 to spend at the show. The lucky recipient was Sarah Daniel from Pengelly Garden Centre in Cornwall, who has used the prize fund to help local schools get into gardening. The registration incentive was a first of its kind for Glee, and its only stipulation was that the money would be spent with a 2023 exhibitor whilst at the show. Sarah made a beeline for the Zest stand, where she proceeded to purchase a bundle of Zest’s bestsellers, including the Garden Bar, Emily three-seater garden bench, Veg

Upon hearing of Sarah’s plan, Zest’s MD, Steve Morgan, kindly also donated five potting benches and five raised bed vegetable planters to further bolster the vision. These have already been allocated to the schools in a boost to their grow-your-own aspirations. Sarah Daniel said of her win:

“Winning Glee’s incentive was a superb way to begin my time at Glee 2023. I knew right away that I wanted to use the money towards Zest’s GYO products, and it’s just superb that they have been able to top up the ‘win’ with their very generous donation.”

Benali made their debuts for Saints. After which, Draper Tools continued their partnership with the club until 2018, and in 2022 they revealed Saints Foundation as their Community Charity Partner.

The announcement comes shortly after Saints revealed its 2023/24 Home Kit, a kit which pays homage to the club’s 1987-89 shirt back when it was sponsored by Draper Tools. The partnership will be about more than just nostalgia though – this new chapter is set to put the Draper name in front of the club’s huge audience of loyal followers. As well as seeing Draper on the team kits, the agreement will also see

widespread brand awareness opportunities for the business. From in-game advertising to the club’s popular social media channels, it’s a collaboration that’s all about making an impact. Charlie Boss, Chief Commercial Officer for Southampton Football Club said: “We are delighted to welcome back Draper Tools as a partner. Their rich history with us makes this feel extra special as we embark on this new chapter together, particularly as we celebrate such an iconic shirt. We look forward to working with them over the course of the season and beyond to deliver a brilliant partnership.”
