Independent tile specialist, Porcelain Superstore has teamed up with luxury paint brand COAT to give homeowners plenty of inspiration for upcoming renovations.

Porcelain Superstore, Hanoi Rose patterned tile

and Margot are available from coatpaints.com and are priced at £49 for 2.5-litres of flat matt.

Historic eastern design inspires new collection Inspired by the encaustic tiles found throughout Vietnam, Hanoi Rose is, quite simply, pure ‘flooring fantasy’. Charming and elegant, classic yet contemporary, it is a design that would look just as stunning in a period property as a modern new build, putting hallways, bathrooms and kitchens into the design spotlight. Abbas

Youssefi, Director of

Porcelain Superstore, says: “While they might be the newest design to join our collection, these tiles are steeped in history, having been inspired by the stunning flooring found in Vietnam. “However, unlike their encaustic counterparts, Hanoi Rose has all the benefits of modern manufacturing methods and because they are made from porcelain, are perfect for busy households thanks to minimal maintenance requirements.” Hanoi Rose Patterned

bbas Youssefi, Director of Porcelain Superstore, says: “Like us, COAT are committed to inspiring design,

enduring quality and top-notch customer service. “Tiles and paint were made for each other. But it’s so important to get it right, after all, the shades and styles we choose can have such a huge impact on both the look of your room and your overall well- being. Porcelain Superstore’s Georgie Jones and COAT’s Aaron Markwell handpicked a selection of tiles

and paint tones that will work beautifully together. Among them is Zellige Pearl – a modern take on the handmade terracotta tiles found throughout Morocco – which has been paired with COAT shades Margot and Pablo. Jones says: “There are so many

different variations for this tile, which can be shade variations or glaze variations. It really creates interest and character within the space.

“And it compares so well with the Pablo and the Margot to really create a zen environment, especially in a bathroom where you want to relax.”

TILING HISTORY REIMAGINED

The 1860 Bath Spa tile collection is steeped in history – with its mosaic-effect surface giving off traditional encaustic vibes. However, this porcelain beauty has been manufactured in the 21st century, so while it might look timeless it is actually perfect for busy, contemporary homes.

So not only does this statement tile – which can be used on both walls and floors – look amazing, it will stand up to anything homeowners can throw at it (well, almost). It’s perfect for fireplaces, wet rooms and can even be used outside thanks to its frost-proof, anti-slip finish. It also works with underfloor heating. What’s more, the collection comes in two finishes – the Mosaic Bud Décor and Spa Leaf Décor – which gives homeowners a plethora of design options. Lesley Taylor, Managing Director of The Baked Tile Co, says: “1860 Bath Spa is a stunning collection which is exclusive to The Baked Tile Co. With its bright yellow hues and mosaic finish, it’s a collection that commands

attention. And because it is available in two different designs – the Leaf and the Bud – it opens up considerable design options giving homeowners a bespoke finish.” The Baked Tile Co design team also offer a design service for the 1860 Bath Collection. Their experts are on hand to help customers get the most out of their tiles by creating a visual and layout guide for installers. This fabulous tile - in traditional uplifting yellow hues - has a faux mosaic background and features soft burgundy with pink buds. You can use this tile on its own to create a four-square floral grid design, or it can be combined with Bath Spa Leaf décor to create some very interesting layouts.  Please visit bakedtiles.co.uk for more information.

Youssefi adds: “I think because

Margot has that slightly yellowish quality to it as a grey, it’s going to really tie in some of those warmer tones that you’ve got with the Zellige Pearl.

“And when working with neutrals like this I tend to go for subtlety over really direct contrast, particularly in greys. They feel like they need that element of softness to them otherwise they can feel quite stark.

“This is a really nice way of pulling all that together.”

Zellige Pearl is available now

from porcelainsuperstore.co.uk and is priced at £47.40 per m2. Pablo
