ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Household energy efficiency is front and centre as ADEY welcomes local MP
Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, MP for North Cotswolds, has paid a visit to ADEY, a leader in heating system protection, maintenance and water quality solutions, to learn more about how to create more sustainable and energy efficient homes

uring the visit Sir Geoffrey met several of the ADEY team and toured the company’s Stonehouse HQ. Every solution that ADEY,

part of the Genuit Group, supplies is focused on protecting heating systems from breakdown, improving system efficiency and reducing energy consumption which in turn helps to lower carbon emissions. This plays a vital role in maintaining long-term system performance and, with new legislation coming into force next year that will require new homes to produce less carbon, can also support the drive towards more efficient homes. “Having Sir Geoffrey visit was a fantastic opportunity for us to demonstrate everything we’re doing to put sustainability at the heart of the business,” commented Simon Howard, ADEY managing director. “The growing emphasis on
renewable heating systems and the efforts to reduce emissions were important talking points, especially considering the arrival of the newly updated Part L of the Building Regulations, also known as the Future Homes Standard, in March 2027.”
A tour of the ADEY production line and manufacturing facilities where products such as Surestop and MagnaClean are made, gave Sir Geoffrey an insight into operations, the scope of its on-site capabilities and ongoing commitment to innovation. ADEY’s head of training, Colin Yearp, was also on hand to showcase the dedicated training academy. Here he demonstrated the support available for installers and industry professionals through expert training and technical knowledge as well as how ADEY’s pioneering MagnaClean magnetic filtration
technology works to remove magnetite from heating systems. “I was very interested to visit ADEY, see the
production line and meet some of its dedicated staff,” said Sir Geoffrey. “We had an important discussion about the role more efficient heating systems can play in reducing carbon emissions, and it was interesting to see how products, including ADEY’s system protection solutions, can support this. “We also discussed the growing use of technologies such as air source heat pumps and some of the challenges associated with improving efficiency in both new and older homes. ADEY is a fine example of a company in my constituency that is using innovation and new technology to support the country’s ambitions, while also providing much-needed local jobs.”
