HVAC & Refrigeration Live HVA T VA CR LIVE PREVIEW REVIEW W , as human activity

overriding theme of HV CR Live, bringing together voices fr om all aspects of the industry and bringing people in who need to hear the industry’s voice.

VA

here are many human-r elated factors that contribute to climate change and planetary wide damage, from rain for est defor estation to plastic accumulation in the seas, from over- farming methane producing liv estock, to the destruction of bee habitats. The most critical and relevant issue for our industry is the increasing amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which is the primary cause of global warming. According to National Geogr aphic, along with water vapour and a number of minor gases, there are four major greenhouse gases; methane and nitrous oxide, which are relev ant f or the agricultural sectors; carbon dioxide and ‘industrial gases’, both of which are relevant for the HV ACR sectors. Carbon dioxide comes primaril y from burning fossil fuels, which makes heating a critical ly important sector in terms of working to r educe the amount being pumped into the atmosphere.

‘Industrial gases’ consist of fluorinated gases such as hydrofluorocarbons, perfluoroc arbons, chlorofluorocarbons, sulphur he xafluoride and nitrogen trifluoride, which mak es any sector using these gases to heat, cool or insulate responsible for driving down the production, use, leakage and disposal of such products.

HVACR Live seeks to explore al l of the areas where the UK HVA CR sectors and the people working in them can make a real difference, even if it’s simpl y understanding what needs to happen through the seminars offered in the HVA CR Liv e Conference. The Confer ence is at the heart of the event, providing legislation updates, ke y area training, contentious topical debate and c omplex

issue analysis. K eeping up to date with what’s happening now and in the futur e makes this an essential event to attend for anyone invol v ed with HVACR.

Brexit

The decisive steps that Prime Minister Boris Johnson has taken to facilitate the UK’s e xit fr om the EU has brought with it an unpr ecedented amount of companies fr om outside Eur ope signing up for HVACR Liv e. Businesses planning to launch into the UK are based in countries as div er se as China, Dubai, South Korea, Turk e y and the United States. Here we preview just a few e xamples: The continuing demand for low GWP r efrigerant in Eur ope has prompted P etra Engineering Industries to design, develop and launch a new series of ChilledWater P ackage Units using propane (R290) as the refrigerant. R290 has a G WP of three, making it a most pr omising candidate for sustainable refrigeration in the futur e. By integrating both the chiller with the refrigerant- tight circuit, and an AHU, Petra’s chil led w ater package unit eliminates the risk of refrigerant ingress into an occupied space.

Fieldpiece Instruments, solely dedicated to creating tools and test instruments for HV A CR professionals, has introduc ed two new wireless power clamp meter s that work with the Fieldpiece Job Link Sy stem App for on-the-go testing and reporting. The SC480 and SC680 are designed specificall y to meet the rigorous demands of the HVAC professional in the field for HV ACR electrical tests.

BAPI is a global sensor manufacturer and is renowned for high quality, accurate and r eliable sensors. To ensure your building is r eceiving accurate information for the BMS to mak e inf ormed decisions on building operations, you just need a calibrated test instrument such as a BAPI Blu- hand held probe. It logs and stores the data to its internal memory and is uploaded to the App and when y our phone or tablet c omes into range, its onl y one click to email the time stamped data for your report or further analysis.

manufactur er and supplier of HVA CR pr oducts and services. It is among the fir st companies in China to engage in refrigerant e xport business. With its wide application in c onstruction projects such as hospitals, factories, c ommercial buildings and villas, products are highly rec ognised by clients at home and abroad for their solid standard quality, high performance and beautiful appearance. Since 1982, CMS Global has manufactured one of the largest ranges of HVA C Products in the Middle East with the highest quality products catering to the HVA C market segment and with 16 locations around the world. Pr oducts include air filters, ecology units, HVAC ducts, fire rated ducts, fire dampers, grilles and diffusers.

Hangda is promoting its CDR series external rotor inline duct fan which can resist high pr essure and fit long pipeline oper ation while operating at low noise. This fan is widely used f or long-distance transmission in hotels, clubs, supermarkets, storerooms and restr ooms and places which need low noise.

Unigulf will be putting forward its easy, pr e- insulated PUR/PIR panels which are pr oduced with sustainable, environmentall y responsible technology that contributes to energy efficiency, durability, improved indoor air quality for human comfort and well-being. These easy panels ha ve zero Ozone Depletion P otential (ODP), a Global Warming Potential of one and are CFC/ HCFC/ HFC free, positively contributing to the environment. mak es high quality air conditioning
