Heating in all shapes and sizes
A
s renewables become more and more attractive, heating now comes in many different forms.
From energy efficient boilers, to heat
pumps, heat networks, hybrid systems and biofuels, there are so many alternatives to choose from when it comes to how we heat our buildings. That’s why our Heating Systems feature this month is so extensive, answering some important questions on these systems and offering advice on best practice. From pg 19-25 the focus is on solutions
for both commercial and domestic properties and there is some important content from top industry experts. Elsewhere, historic and listed buildings
always present a unique challenge to HVAC professionals in balancing the essence of the fabric while bringing the interior up to modern standards. Gilberts Blackpool (pg 10) and Fujitsu Air Conditioning (pg 12) have some experience of this and share their expertise on buildings that are steeped in history. Other features this month include Chimneys & Flues, Air Conditioning, Chillers and Alternative Fuel Sources. • Don’t forget to get your entries in for The HVR Awards 2023 (see opposite) as the 30 June deadline is almost upon us.

WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR... Judged Awards
