ACV UK delivers future-ready hot water and heating upgrade for primary academy histon Willis

Primary Academy in Merseyside has

completed a major upgrade to its heating and hot water system with the help of ACV UK, a specialist in hot water and heating solutions. The project was designed to deliver

reliability, energy efficiency, and minimal disruption during installation. Working closely with ACV UK’s national sales manager, Andy Devlin, specialist contractor CHL Mechanical Services designed and installed a bespoke system that included two Evo S wall-mounted condensing boilers for the infant school, and two Evo S boilers alongside two WaterMaster Evo gas-fired condensing water heaters for the junior school. The new equipment was housed in a refurbished external plant room to help minimise disruption.

ACV’s Evo S boilers offer a compact, modular design that makes them ideally suited to plant room upgrades. Offering high efficiency and low NOx emissions, the chosen boilers support the academy’s energy and sustainability goals. Additionally, the WaterMaster Evo provides rapid hot water recovery, ensuring a consistent supply during peak demand periods, which is a crucial factor for busy school environments with fluctuating usage patterns.

The installation was completed in just four weeks, without impacting the school’s daily operations.

Whiston Willis Primary Academy now benefits from a fully operational, energy-efficient solution backed by ACV UK’s comprehensive warranty and aftercare support, giving the school complete peace of mind for years to come.

Fan convectors now compatible with lower water temperatures

M

yson has announced that its fan convectors are now suitable for low temperature heating systems as well as higher hot water systems. The innovative Kickspace plinth heater provides a space-saving heating solution for kitchens where vital wall space is often taken up by kitchen units.

A recent product update enables the fans in the Kickspace to begin operation at a minimum water temperature of around 34°C, reduced from the previous 43°C.

The Kickspace can be easily fitted under units, allowing more interior design freedom and providing rapid heat through a high-surface-area heat exchanger. Kickspace is also available in electric and low voltage options, while the Kickspace Duo Eco combines the advantages of both hydronic and electric models with the flexibility to switch between central heating and electric modes.

Wall mounted fan convectors

Also suitable for low temperature heating systems are Myson’s Hi Line RC and Lo line RC fan convectors, which can operate with a minimum system temperature of around 32°C.

Myson Hi-Line is a range of wall mounted fan convectors that can be discreetly mounted in the unused space above a door. Designed and tested to the highest standards, the range includes a variety of models, all compatible with lower water temperatures.

The Myson Lo-Line fan convector is a great heating solution for occasionally used areas where instant warmth is required. It’s ideal for areas such as conservatories or attics, where wall space is limited, and easily connects to an existing central heating system for rapid heat output. www.myson.co.uk
