Advance Appliances manufactures and supplies a range of stainless steel hot water cylinders that work with a range of fuel types. The company was founded 15 years ago and trades mainly in the UK. We have evolved through a process of product development and differentiation, always looking to advance on current trade offerings and making things easier for our customers with pre-plumbed and plug and play products.

Advance Appliances has been supplying product to both the domestic and commercial heating market for the past 15 years. Director Geoff Egginton traces the company’s evolution in the UK
Describe the range of products you supply relevant for the HVAC market and to which customers?
For installers in commercial and domestic markets we offer products in sizes from 140 litres capacity to 3,000 litres. We have products that work with heat pumps, solar PV and solar thermal, gas and oil boilers, mains electric and wood burning stoves. Most products are WRAS approved. Stainless steel unvented cylinders are designed to work with a wide range of heat pumps. The design has been founded on many years of close co- operation with customers already supplying product into the market place to ensure seamless compatibility with this technology. These units are WRAS approved. They are available in up to 500 litres in capacity and carry a 25-year warranty.
A range of buffer stores cylinders for use with renewable appliances, such as biomass boilers, is available up to 3,000 litres. These are made from stainless steel and offer long life and lighter construction than mild steel; they are designed for use in sealed systems up to 3bar operation. The units carry a 25-year warranty.
In addition the company offers thermal stores. These tend to be domestic sizes but have the benefits of flexibility in terms of appliances and inputs used to heat them. Typically our thermal stores work with conventional boilers as well as solar PV or solar thermal and solid fuel appliances or a mix of these.
Which of your products/services are in high demand and what is driving this?
Advanced Appliances range of products
Heat pump cylinders and electric heating products are the product ranges with the highest demand as growth is driven by off grid sales and upcoming legislative requirements.
What are the modern day HVAC challenges for commercial buildings and what part do you play in overcoming these?
A large part of the challenge is to wean ourselves off fossil fuels and we have products that can help achieve this using alternatives or a hybrid/mix of fuel types
What are your future plans?
We want to continue to grow our customer base and to develop new products that are in line with the market’s needs. Legislation will change regarding net zero and that will have a positive long term benefit for people willing to engage in these areas.
