Hitachi Air Conditioning’s air365 Max VRF certified ‘best in class’ H
itachi’s air365 Max is an end-to-end variable refrigerant flow (VRF) solution delivering seamless comfort, energy efficiency, and easy installation and maintenance for professionals, design consultants, and commercial building owners in the HVAC sector. The air365 Max series comes as standard with both heat pump and heat recovery built in, and is available in two models: the standard air365 Max and the high energy efficient air365 Max Pro. Both models are compatible with more than 64 Set Free indoor units, offering versatility for all types of installation.
Featuring Hitachi’s innovative SmoothDrive 2.0 technology, the air365 Max and air365 Max Pro produce a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) of up to 7.35 and 8.38 as well as a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) of up to 4.76 and 5.19 respectively. This best-in-class energy efficiency performance, certified by Eurovent, is made possible by superior control of the compressor speed and indoor unit expansion valves. Hitachi VRFs can control compressor rotation speed with precision of 0.1 Hz per step, significantly increasing energy efficiency at partial load. The ability to directly control the capacity, even at low loads, helps increase efficiency up to 39% under part-load conditions, and decreases running costs, leading to lower CO2 emissions.
SmoothDrive 2.0 enables air365 Max to operate at stable and precise temperatures that provides greater comfort for building occupants.

Supplies4Heat introduce new product ranges in latest brochure release
R
adiator manufacturer Supplies4Heat has released its 28th Edition brochure featuring a number of new product ranges. The new additions join an already extensive collection of heating solutions to further equip installers with a wide choice of radiators and towel rails that meet the evolving needs of the construction and home improvement sectors.
With the release of its latest brochure, Supplies4Heat has introduced four striking new aluminium radiator models. All can be finished in either matt white or flat anthracite and delivered in as little as 48 hours.
The Chase, the Addison, the Bosworth, and the Newlands radiators all combine low water content with thermal efficiency to heat rooms effectively and reduce energy usage. Supplies4Heat has also added four new towel rails to its expanding portfolio and all feature in the new brochure: the new slimline, steel designer towel rails Hawkhurst, Dale, and the Holt, as well as the Talis side loading towel rail. Speaking on the new brochure, Richard Lister, national sales manager at Supplies4Heat commented: “Our new brochure outlines exciting additions to an already extensive portfolio of high-quality products. Our promise to installers continues to focus on providing great value, quality products that are quickly available from stock, so that whatever the project requirement or schedule, installers have a wide range of heating solutions to choose from.”

Daikin Applied launches glycol-free chiller option
D
aikin Applied UK has followed up last year’s launch of its TZ D air cooled chillers with the launch of a glycol free option. Going glycol free can improve heat transfer efficiency and, therefore, performance while also reducing running costs. While glycol is useful in applications where freezing is a concern, it can be an environmental or health hazard due to its toxicity and can degrade over time which causes reliability problems.
Choosing a glycol-free option can also be a regulatory requirement in some regions and for sensitive environments like food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or data centres. So, Daikin has developed a “closed loop” system that delivers an efficient solution for applications where avoiding the use of glycol is preferred. It is the latest addition to the company’s TZ D air-cooled free cooling chiller range which employs the latest technology to deliver top performance across a wide range of capacities from 180 to 2150 kW. These free-cooling products are a popular solution for comfort, process and critical cooling applications where the outdoor ambient conditions are between –20°C up to +55°C and supply water temperature is –12°C up to +30°C. The new EWFH/S/D-TZ D models are designed with a fully integrated free cooling system and the controls enable free cooling operation when the outdoor air temperature is low enough to cool the fluid returning from the system to the chiller.
